First Peter 2:9
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light."

Don't Go It Alone

Hebrews 10:24-25 ...and let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Living the life of a loner Christian can be tempting sometimes. We see church scandals in the news, we witness hypocrites within our own church. It's easy to want to separate ourselves from such things and completely cut ourselves off from the Church. We rationalize by saying that we can worship God wherever we are and in our own way. That's true enough, but the author of Hebrews give us good reason to attend church regularly.

Christ disciples, when they meet together, "stir up one another to love and good works" and encourage one another. In other words, we motivate each other to do God's work. This is an important reason to surround ourselves with other disciples of Christ. In meeting together we form a powerful force of believers. We discuss opportunities to serve the Lord, we pray for each other, and we support each other.

Don't go it alone in this life when you have a team willing to live out this walk with you.
