Proverbs 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.
We too often take for granted that we have a God above who cares about us and wants us to succeed. We act sometimes as though we are obligated to pray on Sundays at church, and maybe even every morning and evening, but neglect to approach our Lord throughout the day, in our daily tasks.
God, our Father, cares for us in every aspect of our lives and He also wants to be glorified in every aspect of our lives. When we are at work, doing what we do to earn a living, we ought to be doing it for the glory of God, and not for man (Colossians 3:23). When we are at home, we should honor our family in order to bring glory to God (Ephesians 5). But how are we do do this? How are we to make every move deliberate and in honor and worship of God?
Simply put, we ask Him. We pray. We have the wonderful privilege of having full access to the Creator of the world. We can approach Him at any hour and He is on duty. When we are getting ready, when we are driving, when we are playing with our children, our Lord is there and we can acknowledge Him. In acknowledging Him, we become more conscious of His presence and we become that much more likely to take deliberate steps to glorify Him in our actions.
Anything can be worship if done for the glory of the Lord. Let's take this next week and intentionally dwell on the presence of God in our lives and make each act a pleasing sacrifice unto Him.
