First Peter 2:9
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light."

It All Comes Down to This

John 17:3 And this is eternal life, that they may know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.

It's a question that's been asked since man was first created on this earth; "What is the meaning of life?" Though many have searched to the far ends of the earth, most have not found the answer that they seek. They have looked in books, to the stars, and deep within themselves. But it seems that the best place to look for that answer would be to the One who created life.

In order to find the answers to life's toughest questions, we should look to the only One who knows all. For guidance in how we should live our life, we should look to the example set by Jesus Christ while He lived here on this earth. Jesus not only taught us how to pray (Matthew 6:9-13) but we can read just how He Himself prayed to the Father (John 17). In His most famous prayer, Jesus says that eternal life is that we may know God and His son Jesus Christ.

We can seek meaning in possessions, in positions, in the stars or in people. But true meaning is found in our Lord. He created us for His purposes. He wants us to look to Him. And that is the main purpose behind everything. God's glory.
