The Lord's main purpose in all that He wills, all that He asks of us is to bring glory to Himself. Even the most mundane of tasks that we are called to do on behalf of the Lord ultimately glorifies Him as it is carried out. The nursery worker on Sunday morning glorifies God because they allow others to go into the service and hear God's word. The boss who is kind to his employees gives glory to God because he shows them an example of Christ-likeness. The list could go on and on of jobs and tasks that we all carry out daily, and they all can be purposed to glorify the Father.
In Him are all things and through Him are all things. Don't ever think that you can't make a difference in the Kingdom of God just because you haven't been called to be a pastor or priest over the church. You are called to do many things by the Lord, each to point others to Him. Act accordingly.
