First Peter 2:9
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light."

Trust in the Lord

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight

God is God and we are not. Yet so often we find ourselves thinking we know better than the One who created us. this is a bizarre phenomenon and yet a daily occurrence. Fully trusting in someone outside ourselves, even God, does not always come naturally and must be practiced in order to become a more routine part of life.

Many aspects of our walk with Christ require discipline and deliberate action. Trusting with your whole heart requires putting yourself aside and deliberately listening for God. In the quiet, reverent setting of prayer, we need to listen and then follow. We will never be disappointed when we let God be God and trust that He knows what's best for us. He created us and He will provide for us if we just trust in Him.
